There is a lot going with Club, this is were we will share some of the information with our Club Members, the Skating Community and beyond.
Club receives Funding for Taster Days - July 2008
The club wishes to express its thanks to the Big Lottery Fund, Awards for All grants scheme for its injection of funds to enable kardc to equip itself for its efforts to encourage more young people to take up the sport. Click here to see the taster sessions in action.
In 2008, Kent Artistic managed to secure Lottery funding to run taster sessions to encourage local children and adults to try our wonderful sport.
The funding allowed us to purchase new skates for all ages of skater, hire a hall, purchase video equipment and run 6 weeks of free sessions for the local community.
After posting leaflets to local school and putting posters up in shops, we were really pleased to have a wonderful up-take of children and adults wanting to try skating. We organised our own starter grades and by the end of the 6 weeks, we were able to award everyone with a certificate. Some even managed to begin on the FARS grades.
We are grateful to the Lottery Fund
